Review each variant

Review availability for the selected variant in the basket. One colour may be ready stock while another is a preorder; the general listing heading is insufficient.

Consider mixed readiness

A preorder item may not be ready with the rest of the basket. Do not turn the store's estimated availability date into a guaranteed international arrival date.

Record each line's status

Mark each line ready, preorder or unconfirmed, retaining the wording seen during review. Record variant and quantity so a later change does not silently overwrite the original status. An order can contain one ready line and another without confirmed availability. Do not copy the first line's date into the second simply because they share a basket.

Agree a purchase plan

Specify whether to buy available items alone or wait for a whole-order review. Purchasing an item that is not ready requires explicit acceptance of its current status.
