Customs on Parcels from Türkiye to Jordan

Parcels from Türkiye to Jordan may be subject to customs duties or taxes depending on the type, value and quantity of the goods, and the decision rests with Jordan Customs, not the shipping company. MarkaShip’s shipping estimate covers transport; do not assume it includes customs. Check the current official rules for your actual products before buying and keep store invoices.

What determines customs charges

Jordan Customs decides based on the actual shipment: product type, invoice value and quantity, and whether the quantity looks personal or commercial. We do not publish a rate or exemption threshold because official rules can change; the official authority itself is the reference.

Does the shipping price include customs?

Do not assume so. The MarkaShip calculator estimates transport from weight, dimensions and destination, while official charges in Jordan are a separate item. Ask the quote to state what it covers and whether anything is payable on delivery before you confirm the shipment.

Land versus sea clearance

Jordan is served by land via Syria or by sea to Aqaba depending on the shipment, with Aqaba the entry point for larger shipments. Ask which route is proposed and where the shipment will be cleared, as this affects the documents needed and when it reaches Amman, Irbid or Zarqa.

What to prepare before buying

Keep every store invoice and ask for an accurate description of contents and value; never accept an undervalued declaration. Food, medicines and cosmetics need a check against Jordan Food and Drug Administration requirements. If you buy several units of the same item, ask before paying, as quantity can change how the shipment is classified.
