Left or Right Part? Fix the Viewing Direction

Agree on the viewpoint

State whether the view is from the front during use or from behind during installation, following the supplier’s instructions. Mark the location on a complete product photograph. A loose-part image may be reversed or taken from a different viewpoint and cannot settle the question alone.

Keep the complete code

Copy the replacement code and any suffix identifying its side. Check it against the manual or compatibility list. If buying a pair, confirm both codes and quantities rather than assuming two identical pieces form a left-and-right set with the required attachments.

Map the fixing points

Draw holes or clips relative to a named edge and identify the face that meets the product. Compare spacing and orientation as well as overall dimensions. Do not flip the drawing to force a match when a projection or dedicated mounting surface prevents that arrangement.

Ask a verifiable question

Send the marked full-product photograph, model and part code, asking the supplier to confirm the side using its own convention. Retain the answer with the Buy for Me request. If the received part remains unclear, check the identification before fitting or altering it.
