Define the endpoints
Clarify the strap measurement endpoints: clip tip to clip tip, or webbing alone. The difference changes where the bag will sit when worn.
Check assembled length
An adjustment loop can consume part of the webbing. The material length laid flat is not necessarily the maximum usable length after fitting the clips.
Avoid an additive assumption
A hypothetical 100 cm webbing section with two 4 cm clips does not prove a finished 108 cm strap. Attachment sections may overlap rather than add fully. If the seller measures between clip openings, use those same endpoints on your reference strap. Different starting points can explain a discrepancy without any difference in webbing.
Set a usable minimum
Compare the assembled length with a comfortable strap you own and specify the minimum acceptable length. Do not authorize shortening or modification before confirming the final measurement.
