Karaca Gift Sets to the UAE: Boxes, Breakage, Weight

Original box or no box

The original box protects the look and helps when the set is gifted as it is, but it adds carton volume and is counted in shipping. Ask the team whether to keep it, depending on the purpose: a gift handed over sealed or a set for your own home that you open on arrival.

Protecting glass and ceramic

Sets hold cups, saucers and lids that chip when they rub against each other. Ask the team to separate the pieces with protective layers inside the box and not to place heavy boxes on top of the set in the carton.

Actual and dimensional weight

A gift box is large for its weight, so shipping is usually charged on the greater of actual and dimensional weight. Combine the set with the rest of your purchases in one carton when possible rather than sending it alone.

Shipping to the UAE

The UAE route runs by air from Istanbul to Dubai or Abu Dhabi on the next schedule after the order is consolidated in the warehouse, and home delivery covers all seven emirates. Each emirate has its own customs authority, so the authority at the entry point applies, such as Dubai Customs.
