The prohibited list MarkaShip publishes

MarkaShip’s FAQ page gives one list of products that cannot be shipped: precious metals, weapons and defence tools, hazardous and flammable materials, perfume over 100 ml, medication without a prescription, and counterfeit products. The terms also commit the customer not to request prohibited items or items banned from shipping, so a prohibited product is not bought at all, even if a Turkish store sells it.

What differs between the Gulf countries

Each Gulf country has its own customs authority, which is the reference for what may enter: Kuwait customs, with the food and nutrition authority for food; ZATCA in Saudi Arabia, with the SFDA for cosmetics and food-contact items; a customs body per emirate in the UAE; Qatar customs; Bahrain customs affairs; and Oman customs. We do not publish a per-country ban list, so anything not covered here is asked about before payment.

Syria and Jordan

Jordan has two references published on the site: Jordan Customs, and the JFDA for food, medicine and cosmetics. For Syria the site has no official Syrian source for import lists, so we do not write our own list: check with the importer or clearing agent in Syria before buying any food, medical or bulk commercial product.

Air freight adds the carrier’s rules

Shipping to the Gulf is by air from Istanbul, and air transport follows dangerous goods regulations: batteries, aerosols and flammable liquids may be refused by the carrier even when the destination allows them. So one product passes two checks: MarkaShip’s list and the official rules, then the air carrier’s acceptance. Send the product link before paying.
