Two ways to ship kilims to Jordan

If you buy kilims yourself from a store that delivers inside Turkey, enter the receiving-centre address with your name and box number, and the order is logged to your account. If the store rejects your card or asks for a Turkish phone, send the links with Buy for Me. Parcels stay free at the warehouse for up to 30 days so you can combine orders.

Transit time and mode

It goes by land or sea depending on the shipment: land takes about two weeks and sea one to two months, with the mode and schedule fixed before departure, after the store’s own delivery inside Turkey to the warehouse. Once it arrives, the parcel is delivered in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa and Aqaba and other cities, and you follow each step from your account.

How the price is worked out

The cost follows weight, volume and shipping mode and is fixed together with the schedule before departure; you can estimate the parcel first in the shipping calculator. A kilim is thinner and lighter than a knotted rug, so it can be folded or rolled small, which makes it far cheaper to ship than a rug of the same size; still, price its weight and dimensions in the shipping calculator before buying.

Size and authenticity

Read the actual size in centimetres on the product page rather than the general description, and ask the seller whether it is hand-woven or machine-made, since the price differs a lot. Ask for size, colours and edges to be checked at the warehouse and for it to be wrapped in plastic against moisture before closing. Charges may apply in Jordan by value and quantity, and commercial quantities need a separate quote.
