What a trousseau from Turkey includes

The most requested items are bedding sets, blankets, towels and bathrobes from Turkish home-textile brands, cookware, plate and glass sets, dresses, loungewear and pyjamas. Start with a written list of items, quantities and sizes before shopping.

Buy-for-me and combining stores

You need no Turkish account or card: send each item’s link with size, colour and quantity, and it is bought for an 8% commission on product value, then items from every store are gathered at the warehouse and kept free for up to 30 days until the trousseau is complete.

Weight, volume and breakage

Blankets and bedding are light but bulky, so ask for them to be compressed and extra boxes removed, since shipping is charged on the greater of actual and dimensional weight. Glass and ceramic ware needs anti-breakage packing, so ask for bubble wrap and dividers between pieces.

When to start before the wedding

Start weeks ahead to allow for store delivery inside Turkey, consolidation and shipping, since some stores deliver late. By land about two weeks, or by sea one to two months once the parcel leaves. Shipping is calculated after weighing and paid before dispatch, so you know the amount before the parcel goes.
