State what is visible

A closed-parcel photo may document shape without proving every internal arrangement. Distinguish pre-closure evidence from unseen areas. Do not request reopening without a clear purpose and an agreed scope.

Create an approval card

Record list reference and date, box count, weights, dimensions and available photos. If a product or its protection changes afterwards, update the reference or document the change rather than reusing an old approval.

Approve the named version

State which version you approve and any unresolved condition. Packing photographs are not customs acceptance or a guarantee against damage. Approval of presentation is also separate from agreeing to a price that has not yet been quoted.

Common questions

Does a parcel photo establish its contents list?

No. Link it to the relevant inventory reference.

Does a closed photo prove the internal arrangement?

Only what was actually visible is documented.

When should approval be updated?

When contents, protection or linked measurement information changes.

Sources to check
