Paying MarkaShip in Euros: Why Your Card Amount Differs

What currency is charged?

The payment page states clearly that the amount will be charged in euros. A figure in dinars, riyals or dirhams is an estimate of the amount in your currency, not the currency the payment is actually taken in.

Why your statement can differ

The conversion from euros to your card’s currency is done by your bank at its own rate, and some banks add a currency conversion fee. So a small gap between the page’s estimate and your statement is normal. Ask your bank about foreign-currency transaction fees before paying.

Who collects the card details

Payment details are collected by Stripe, and MarkaShip does not receive your full card number. Stripe shows the cards and wallets available to you securely, so what appears in the payment window is what your account and country can use.

If a message appears about the amount

Sometimes the euro amount is refreshed and a message asks you to review the new amount and press pay again. If the payment cannot be prepared, or the order needs a final quote first, contact customer service instead of retrying repeatedly.
