Two ways to ship kaftans to Syria

If you buy kaftans yourself from a store that delivers inside Turkey, enter the receiving-centre address with your name and box number, and the order is logged to your account. If the store rejects your card or asks for a Turkish phone, send the links with Buy for Me. Parcels stay free at the warehouse for up to 30 days so you can combine orders.

Transit time and mode

The parcel travels by land from Turkey, and transit is about two weeks once the shipment leaves, after the store’s own delivery inside Turkey to the warehouse. Once it arrives, the parcel is delivered in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama and other cities, and you follow each step from your account.

How the price is worked out

Syria has published reference rates by region; a medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) runs from 15 US dollars for the northern governorates to 20 for Damascus, customs excluded, and the price is confirmed per shipment. Cotton and silky kaftans are light and fold well, while heavily embroidered ones weigh a little more; combine them with jalabiyas and abayas in one parcel to spread the cost.

Length and embroidery

Kaftans are often one loose size, so compare the full length in centimetres with your height in shoes. Ask for beaded or sequinned pieces folded with tissue between layers, and read washing instructions for silky fabrics. Charges may apply in Syria by value and quantity, and commercial quantities need a separate quote.
