Two ways to ship tarhana soup mix to Syria

If you buy tarhana soup mix yourself from a store that delivers inside Turkey, enter the receiving-centre address with your name and box number, and the order is logged to your account. If the store rejects your card or asks for a Turkish phone, send the links with Buy for Me. Parcels stay free at the warehouse for up to 30 days so you can combine orders.

Transit time and mode

The parcel travels by land from Turkey, and transit is about two weeks once the shipment leaves, after the store’s own delivery inside Turkey to the warehouse. Once it arrives, the parcel is delivered in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama and other cities, and you follow each step from your account.

How the price is worked out

Syria has published reference rates by region; a medium carton (60×40×40 cm, up to 15 kg) runs from 15 US dollars for the northern governorates to 20 for Damascus, customs excluded, and the price is confirmed per shipment. Tarhana is dry and light, one bag makes several pots of soup and takes little room, so combine it with lentils and bulgur in one parcel to spread the cost.

Choosing tarhana

Fine tarhana dissolves quickly and suits soup for children, while coarse tarhana gives a thicker texture. Choose factory-sealed packs with ingredients and expiry date rather than unpackaged homemade tarhana, and ask the competent authority in your country about food import rules. Charges may apply in Syria by value and quantity, and commercial quantities need a separate quote.
