Turkish words in the size table
Size tables in Turkish stores are usually in Turkish. A few words are enough: Beden is size, Göğüs is chest, Bel is waist, Basen is hips, Boy is length or height, and Yaş is age for children’s clothing. Measurements are in centimetres.
Letter, number and jeans sizes
Some products use letters from XS to XXL, some use numbers, and jeans may be listed by waist and length. The key point is that the same letter or number can match different measurements from one store to another, so do not carry your size across brands without checking the table.
How to measure before ordering
Use a soft tape: chest at its widest point, waist at its narrowest, hips at their widest. Compare the numbers with the product table, and if you fall between two sizes, read the fit description: a slim fit usually needs the larger size, a loose fit may suit the smaller.
What to write in the order notes
Write the size name as shown in the store, the measurements you relied on, the colour by its name on the page, and an alternative size if you accept one.
