Should curtains come from English Home or Zara Home?

Compare what each offers against your window size and fabric type, since the two stores list curtains in different sizes. Pick the store whose size fits without major alteration.

Will a foreign bed set fit a thick mattress?

Do not assume so. Read the fitted sheet size and pocket depth in centimeters and compare it with your mattress thickness before ordering.

Can I combine hosting items with curtains in one shipment?

Yes. Once both orders reach the receiving address in Türkiye they are combined in one parcel to Kuwait, with glass kept apart from fabrics inside the box.

New Home in Kuwait: English Home or Zara Home

For a new Kuwaiti home, order complete sets from English Home (bed linen, towels, kitchen and hosting items) because they come together in one order, and order curtains, majlis covers and decor from Zara Home when you need an exact size in centimeters. Measure windows and beds first, then send the links through Buy for Me so the orders arrive together and ship by air to Kuwait.

What to order from which store

Private rooms need matching bed linen, towels and kitchenware, which is what English Home sets put into a single basket. Blackout curtains, Arabic-style floor seating covers, majlis cushions and serving pieces for guests are listed by Zara Home as separate items in a chosen color and size. Split your list into what works as a set and what completes an existing room, then divide it between the two stores.

Measuring checklist before ordering

Measure each window width and the drop from the ceiling or rod, the bed and the mattress thickness, and the seating length if you are buying cushions or covers for a majlis. Write the numbers next to the item code and color as shown on the Turkish page, because whoever consolidates your order cannot change a size after purchase. If you hesitate between two curtain sizes, take the larger, since trimming extra fabric is easier than adding any.

Hosting sets and breakage

Tea and coffee sets and glass plates are in daily use in Kuwaiti homes when guests visit, and they are the first thing to get damaged in transit. Ask for each piece to be wrapped alone and kept apart from fabrics, and photograph the box before it is closed. Do not add candles or liquid fragrances before reading the liquids and aerosols page on MarkaShip.

How orders ship and arrive

The Kuwait route runs by air from Istanbul with frequent departures, then the parcel goes to home delivery across the governorates, including Kuwait City, Hawalli, Farwaniya and Jahra. Cost is fixed after the packed parcel is measured, on the greater of actual and dimensional weight. Write your Kuwait address with governorate, area, block, street and house or building number, plus the recipient name and an active phone number. Keep the seller invoices. Current rules for the actual goods are set by Kuwait’s General Administration of Customs.
