Should I write only the area name?

No, write the governorate, area, block, street and plot or house number, because the area alone is not enough to reach you.

What is the PACI address number?

A number issued by the Public Authority for Civil Information for each address, which you can add to the notes if you know it.

Should the name match my civil ID?

Yes, it makes it easier to match the parcel to its owner at delivery.

Writing Your Kuwait Address: Block, Street, Plot

Write your Kuwait address in this order: governorate and area, block, street, avenue if any, plot or house number, then building, floor and flat if you live in an apartment block, and add the PACI address number if you know it. Give a phone that is answered, as home delivery covers Kuwait City, Hawalli, Farwaniya, Jahra and the other governorates.

Why the area name is not enough

A Kuwait address is split into an area and then numbered blocks, each with its own streets and plots. A courier knows “Hawalli” but cannot reach your house with it, while “Hawalli, block 5, street 10, plot 12” leads straight to it. Every number missing from that chain adds calls to you before delivery and delays the parcel.

A written example you can copy

For a house: “Hawalli governorate, Salmiya area, block 4, street 12, avenue 3, plot 25”. For a block of flats, add “Al Waha building, third floor, flat 31”. Then a line for the nearest landmark such as a mosque or a co-op. The example is only for illustration, so write your own numbers, and if the building has several doors, say which one the courier should use.

PACI number, recipient and phone

Each address in Kuwait has an address number issued by the Public Authority for Civil Information, which appears in your residence details or a utility bill. Put it in the notes if you know it, as it settles any confusion between similar blocks. Write the recipient’s name as on the civil ID, a mobile you answer, and a second number from your household in case you are away.

Before and after you pay

Check the address in the order summary before paying, since correcting it after the shipment leaves is harder than before. If you move or travel, message the MarkaShip team before the shipment leaves Türkiye. For items that need customs review, check with Kuwait’s General Administration of Customs before ordering.
