General guides to buying and shipping from Türkiye

Buy for Me, Turkish stores, receiving addresses and shipping basics for every destination.

Joker or Civil: Baby Clothes or Older Kids

The decision here is the age of the child. Joker Baby serves infants and toddlers with soft cotton pieces and easy fastenings, while Civil serves older children and teenagers with designs closer to adult clothing. If your children are different ages, ask each store for what suits each child and combine them in one parcel, writing the age and height in centimeters for every item.

Read the full guide: Joker or Civil: Baby Clothes or Older Kids

Penti or KOM: Basics and Socks or Sleepwear

Penti is stronger in daily basics: socks, underwear and thermal wear, while KOM is stronger in sleepwear and homewear. Ask each store for what it does best, and read the fabric (cotton or blend) and the size chart before paying. These pieces are mostly not returnable for hygiene reasons, so be sure of the size.

Read the full guide: Penti or KOM: Basics and Socks or Sleepwear

Koton or Marjin: General Women Fashion or Modest Wear

Koton is a wide fashion store with varied cuts where you must check length, sleeve and transparency, while Marjin specialises in modest wear with long and loose cuts ready made. Choose Marjin if modesty is the first condition, choose Koton if you want variety in the wardrobe, and in both read the fabric and the piece dimensions in centimeters.

Read the full guide: Koton or Marjin: General Women Fashion or Modest Wear

Korkmaz or Karaca: Steel Cookware or Dinner Sets

Choose by what your kitchen lacks. Korkmaz is known for steel cookware, kettles and everyday pots, while Karaca is wider in cookware sets, tea and serving ware. Pots are heavy, so actual weight usually decides the shipping cost, which is why you should work out the set weight from the product card before adding it to the order.

Read the full guide: Korkmaz or Karaca: Steel Cookware or Dinner Sets

Desa or Derimod: Leather Jackets or Bags and Shoes

The difference is in use. Desa is known for leather jackets, coats and accessories, while Derimod is stronger in leather shoes, bags and wallets. Start with Desa for a big winter piece and with Derimod for a daily shoe or bag, and in both ask whether the leather is genuine or synthetic, since price and care differ.

Read the full guide: Desa or Derimod: Leather Jackets or Bags and Shoes

Stradivarius or Oysho: Youth Fashion or Home and Sport

The two stores belong to the same group but serve different uses. Stradivarius is daily youth fashion such as trousers, shirts and dresses, while Oysho is stronger in sportswear, homewear and sleepwear. Buy what you go out in from Stradivarius and what you wear at home or training from Oysho, and measure chest and waist in centimeters instead of trusting the letter size.

Read the full guide: Stradivarius or Oysho: Youth Fashion or Home and Sport

Pierre Cardin or Altınyıldız: Which Suit to Buy

Both stores sell formal menswear, so the decision is the cut and the way you buy. Read the cut (slim or regular) and the fabric (wool or blend) in each suit card, and do not buy a suit in an approximate size, because alterations after arrival are costly and may not be enough. Take chest, shoulder and length in centimeters from a local tailor before ordering.

Read the full guide: Pierre Cardin or Altınyıldız: Which Suit to Buy

Vakko or Beymen: Luxury Scarves or Multi-Brand Store

Vakko is a Turkish fashion house known for silk scarves, coats and its own designs, while Beymen is an upscale store that gathers many brands under one roof. Pick Vakko for a piece that carries the house name itself, and Beymen when you want to compare several brands in one order. Either way the pieces are costly, so keep the original invoice and photograph the piece when it arrives.

Read the full guide: Vakko or Beymen: Luxury Scarves or Multi-Brand Store

Jack & Jones or Ramsey: Youth Denim or Smart Shirts

The key question is where you will wear the piece. Jack & Jones is stronger in jeans, tees and daily youth pieces, while Ramsey is stronger in dress shirts, smart trousers and work pieces. Buy jeans from the first and the formal shirt from the second, and take the shirt size from neck and chest and sleeve length and not from the letter alone.

Read the full guide: Jack & Jones or Ramsey: Youth Denim or Smart Shirts

Mavi or LTB: Which Turkish Jeans Fit Your Cut

Both sell jeans, and the difference shows in the cut and the fabric and not in the name. Read the cut (slim, straight or loose), the rise and the stretch share in each product card, and compare your waist and inner leg in centimeters with the chart. Do not buy the size you wore in another store, since numbers change between brands.

Read the full guide: Mavi or LTB: Which Turkish Jeans Fit Your Cut

Yataş or İstikbal: Mattress or Full Bedroom Set

Yataş is closer to mattresses, pillows, bedding and sleep accessories, while İstikbal is wider in sofas, beds and bedroom sets. Start with Yataş if you only want to change the mattress, and with İstikbal for a bed, wardrobe and sofa. Large pieces are charged on volume and not on weight, so measure the bed and the mattress in centimeters and measure the door and corridor before ordering.

Read the full guide: Yataş or İstikbal: Mattress or Full Bedroom Set

Tchibo or Karaca: Weekly Offers or Fixed Kitchen Sets

The main difference is time. Tchibo shows a different themed range every week, so what you like today may be gone in two weeks and should go in the same order rather than being put off. Karaca is where you buy cookware and kitchen sets you complete piece by piece over months. If your basket is full of weekly offers you must decide fast, and if it is a kitchen set the key is checking every piece is there before shipping.

Read the full guide: Tchibo or Karaca: Weekly Offers or Fixed Kitchen Sets

Hatemoğlu or Ramsey: Choosing an Everyday Work Suit

An everyday work suit is worn every week for years, so choose the fabric before the name: light or blended wool suits hot climates and heavier cloth suits winter. Hatemoğlu and Ramsey both offer ready-made men suits, and the real decision is the cut that fits your body. Accept that the jacket may need its sleeves altered and the trousers shortened by a nearby tailor, and do not buy a large size hoping for big reductions.

Read the full guide: Hatemoğlu or Ramsey: Choosing an Everyday Work Suit

Wedding Suit Timeline: Damat Tween or Sarar

A wedding suit cannot be late, so count back from the ceremony: a week for the tailor, the shipping and clearance days, the warehouse processing days and a safety margin of at least a week. Damat Tween and Sarar both offer ready-made formal suits, but more important than the name is that the parcel reaches you well before the event so you can try the suit, alter it and replace a piece if needed.

Read the full guide: Wedding Suit Timeline: Damat Tween or Sarar

ebebek or Joker: Checking a Car Seat and Stroller First

A car seat and a stroller are not bought on price alone. Open the product card and read the weight or height group and the age it covers, how it is fixed in the car and whether the stroller folds one-handed, then measure your trunk and rear seat. ebebek is a chain selling many brands and Joker is a Turkish baby brand with its own products, so ask for instructions in a language you read, and ask your competent authority about car seat requirements in your country before paying.

Read the full guide: ebebek or Joker: Checking a Car Seat and Stroller First

Flormar or Golden Rose: Which Makeup Ships Safely

Start with the type of item, not the brand. Pencils, palettes, powders and brushes usually ship without trouble if well padded, while nail polish, liquids and sprays are the items that get restricted or refused on air freight, so ask about them before paying. Flormar and Golden Rose sell makeup in a similar category, so the practical decision is to split the basket: order what arrives safely at once, and ask about anything with liquid first. This page makes no claim about product registration or conformity, and anything about cosmetics rules is checked with the authority in your country.

Read the full guide: Flormar or Golden Rose: Which Makeup Ships Safely

Bershka or Stradivarius: One Piece or a Full Outfit

The difference is in how you buy before it is in style. If you like a single piece, order it in two close sizes from the same store when the budget allows. If you are building a full outfit of trousers, top and jacket, take all the pieces from one store so colours and cuts match and the order arrives once. Bershka and Stradivarius both offer young womenswear and both change their range quickly, so do not put off a piece you like.

Read the full guide: Bershka or Stradivarius: One Piece or a Full Outfit

DeFacto or Mavi: How Denim Weight Affects Shipping

Denim is the heaviest clothing you buy, so every pair of jeans adds real weight to the parcel, unlike light T-shirts which are limited by volume. Mavi is known for jeans and DeFacto offers a wider everyday range. If your order is only jeans count actual weight first, and if it is mixed count volume. Write a list of how many jeans and T-shirts you are ordering so you know which one sets the cost.

Read the full guide: DeFacto or Mavi: How Denim Weight Affects Shipping

Boyner or Özdilek: A Multi-Brand Basket From One Store

Boyner and Özdilek are large stores that carry many brands, so their advantage is that you put items from different brands in one basket and receive them in one order. Choose the store by what is in your basket: if you want three brands in different departments, the store with most of them comes first. After the order reaches the warehouse match every item against the order invoice before the carton is closed, because a multi-brand order raises the chance that one item is overlooked.

When Do I Pay Shipping from Türkiye?

Under MarkaShip’s published terms, the item price and service commission are charged when the order is confirmed, while the shipping cost is set after the item reaches the consolidation centre and the final weight is known, and it must be paid before the shipment is sent. Shipping is charged on the higher of actual or volumetric weight, so the calculator is an estimate and the final figure follows weighing.

Prohibited Items from Türkiye by Country

MarkaShip’s published FAQ lists the products that cannot be shipped: precious metals, weapons and defence tools, hazardous and flammable materials, perfume over 100 ml, medication without a prescription, and counterfeit products. That list is the same for every country. What changes after it is the official body in the destination: Saudi Arabia and Jordan have food and drug authorities that cover cosmetics, and Kuwait has a public authority for food and nutrition. For anything these sources do not mention, check with the importer or the official body before buying.

Is There Shipment Insurance from Türkiye?

MarkaShip’s published terms do not mention a shipment insurance service. What they state is that MarkaShip is a shopping intermediary, not a seller, that its liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service, and that it is not responsible for delays caused by customs or circumstances beyond its control. So do not assume insurance that is not written, and ask support before buying a high-value item.

Consolidating Parcels from Türkiye by Country

MarkaShip’s consolidation steps are the same for every country: orders from several stores reach the consolidation centre in Türkiye, are checked and packed into one shipment, then shipping is set after weighing and paid before dispatch. What differs is the route and the pricing: the Gulf by air from Istanbul on the higher of actual or volumetric weight, Syria by land on a published carton, CBM and tonne table, and Jordan by land via Syria or by sea to Aqaba.

Read the full guide: Consolidating Parcels from Türkiye by Country

Exchanging a Size from a Turkish Store

MarkaShip’s published terms do not list exchanges as a separate clause; what they set out is returns: requested within 14 days of the item reaching the consolidation centre in Türkiye, in original condition with all tags, with return fees paid by the customer and a non-refundable service commission. So if you need another size, ask while the item is still in Türkiye, and contact support before the window closes.

Shipping Batteries and Power Banks from Türkiye

Batteries, lithium batteries above all, fall under dangerous goods regulations in air transport, and shipping to the Gulf is by air from Istanbul. Whether a product is accepted is the carrier’s decision, based on the battery type and whether it is installed in the device, packed with it, or loose like a power bank. So send the product link and a photo of the battery label before paying.

Read the full guide: Shipping Batteries and Power Banks from Türkiye

Shipping Liquids and Aerosols from Türkiye

Not all liquids are prohibited, but flammable materials and pressurised containers such as aerosols fall under dangerous goods regulations in air transport, and shipping to the Gulf is by air from Istanbul. MarkaShip’s published list also excludes hazardous and flammable materials and perfume over 100 ml. So send the product link and a photo of the ingredients before paying.

Turkish Clothing Sizes: Reading the Size Table

Turkish stores write clothing sizes as letters such as S, M and L, or as numbers such as 36, 38 and 40, jeans often by waist and length, and children’s clothes by age. No single conversion fits every store, because cuts differ between brands and even within one brand. The safe method: measure yourself in centimetres, compare with the size table on the product page itself, and write the size and measurements in the order notes.

Read the full guide: Turkish Clothing Sizes: Reading the Size Table

Turkish Shoe Sizes: Choosing the Right Number

Turkish stores list shoe sizes as numbers such as 38 or 42, and many include foot length in centimetres in the size table. The same number can differ between brands and between a trainer and a formal shoe. The safe method: measure your foot length in centimetres, choose the size from the product’s own table, and write the length in the order notes.

Cancelling an Order from a Turkish Store

You can cancel your MarkaShip order before the products are bought from the Turkish store. After purchase the order cannot be cancelled, and the route is customer service. So if you change your mind or spot a mistake in the size, colour or link, get in touch immediately, before the purchase is made and not after the item reaches the consolidation centre.

Your MarkaShip Box Number and Turkish Address

Your box number is your unique ID in the MarkaShip warehouse in Turkey, created automatically when you open an account. When you buy from a Turkish store yourself, use your box address as the delivery address and make sure your box number is in it, because a parcel without a number cannot be matched to you. Parcels kept longer than 30 days attract storage fees.

Turkish Kids’ Clothing Sizes by Age (Yaş, Ay)

Turkish stores size children’s clothing by age: Yaş for years, such as 3-4 Yaş, and Ay for months for babies, such as 0-3 Ay. Age alone is not enough, since children differ in height, so use the Boy height column in the product’s own table and measure your child before ordering. If your child falls between two sizes, choose the larger one according to the fit description.

MarkaShip 8% Commission: How the Total Adds Up

With MarkaShip you pay, at order confirmation, the product price as in the Turkish store plus an 8% service commission on the product value; shipping is calculated after weighing at the consolidation centre and paid before dispatch. Example: a 100 product plus 8 commission is 108, and shipping is added later. The terms state there are no hidden fees.

Paying MarkaShip in Euros: Why Your Card Amount Differs

The payment page charges the amount in euros through Stripe Checkout, and the figure shown in your local currency is only an estimate. Your bank sets the final exchange rate and may add a conversion fee, so the charge on your card statement can differ slightly. MarkaShip never receives your full card number, since Stripe collects the payment details.

MarkaShip Payment Methods: KNET and Apple Pay

Actual or Volumetric Weight: Which Counts?

MarkaShip shipping cost is based on actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is greater. Volumetric weight reflects the space a parcel takes, not how heavy it is. The final figure is set once the product reaches the consolidation centre, so the calculator figure before weighing is an estimate, and shipping is paid before dispatch.

Shipping from Turkey to Latakia and the Syrian Coast

MarkaShip ships to Syria by land directly through the Turkish border crossings, and Latakia is one of the Syrian cities listed on the Syria page. The published tables cover the northern governorates (Idlib and Aleppo), the central ones (Homs and Hama) and the south (Damascus); there is no separate table for the coast, so the price of your Latakia shipment is confirmed once the goods and destination are known.

Turkey to Madinah, Taif and Other Saudi Cities

The MarkaShip Saudi page names four cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Makkah, and says we also reach the remaining cities when you enter the delivery address. Madinah, Taif, Tabuk, Abha, Buraydah and Khobar are therefore not named, but not excluded; what we do not publish is a specific price, transit time or direct home delivery for them. Write your full National Address and ask the quote for the delivery method and date before you pay.

FLO or SuperStep for the Gulf: Which Store?

Order from FLO when you want several brands in one basket (everyday, formal, sandals, kids), and from SuperStep when you want sneakers in one exact release and color. The decision is the same in all four countries, but delivery, packing and customs differ, so each section below covers one of the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. Send the link, model code and a backup size through Buy for Me.

LC Waikiki or DeFacto for Gulf Families

Put in LC Waikiki what the whole family needs in one basket (babies, kids, women, men), and compare DeFacto for basics and seasonal offers. Do not judge by brand alone: compare the same item, its final price and its size. For the four Gulf countries, each has its own delivery path, address format and customs authority, listed below.

Read the full guide: LC Waikiki or DeFacto for Gulf Families

Mavi or LC Waikiki Jeans for the Gulf

Mavi fits you if you want a specific cut and wash, and LC Waikiki fits if jeans are part of a wider clothing basket. Jeans are heavier than light clothes, so the parcel is charged on the greater of actual and dimensional weight, and you should measure waist and length in centimeters. Under each Gulf country is a note for its own parcel.

Read the full guide: Mavi or LC Waikiki Jeans for the Gulf

Kids’ Clothes from Civil or LC Waikiki to the Gulf

Civil fits if you shop only for children, teens and babies, and LC Waikiki fits if you add items for the mother and father to the kids’ order. Age size is not enough, so measure the child’s height and chest in centimeters and allow growth room. The part specific to each Gulf country follows.

Read the full guide: Kids’ Clothes from Civil or LC Waikiki to the Gulf

DeFacto or Koton for the Gulf: Fabric First

Start from fabric, not from the name: read the composition and percentages on the DeFacto and Koton pages, because items that look alike can differ between pure cotton and a synthetic blend, which decides comfort in the heat. Then apply the notes for your own country below.

Read the full guide: DeFacto or Koton for the Gulf: Fabric First

US Polo or Colin’s for Gulf Men: Polo or Daily

Choose US Polo if you want polos and shirts close to smart-casual office wear, and choose Colin’s if you want jeans, tees and everyday pieces at a lower price in one basket. The choice is the same, but what suits the office, the summer or the parcel changes from one Gulf country to another, which each section below sets out.

Read the full guide: US Polo or Colin’s for Gulf Men: Polo or Daily

Mango or Massimo Dutti for Gulf Women: Trend vs Calm

Choose Mango for current fashion at lower prices and faster-changing models, and choose Massimo Dutti for longer-lived pieces in heavier fabrics and calm cuts. There is no single answer, since the occasion, the climate and the budget decide. Under each Gulf country there is a note on a problem that matters only there.

Read the full guide: Mango or Massimo Dutti for Gulf Women: Trend vs Calm

TAC or Yataş Bedding for the Gulf: Size First

Start from your bed dimensions and mattress height, not from the color: bed sizes in the Gulf vary between English and Italian standards, and a cover that does not fit the mattress comes back useless. Then compare TAC and Yataş by fabric and thread count, and read your country note below.

Read the full guide: TAC or Yataş Bedding for the Gulf: Size First

Paşabahçe or Karaca Tableware for the Gulf

Paşabahçe is best for glasses and glass plates for hospitality and daily use, and Karaca is best for cookware sets, pans and serving tools. Derimod or Hotiç Leather for the Gulf

Derimod is best for bags and leather jackets in varied designs, and Hotiç is best for comfortable everyday leather shoes. Leather reacts to humidity and heat, so read the leather type and care method before ordering, then check what applies to your country.

H&M or LC Waikiki for a Gulf Wardrobe: Layers & Modest

Order the basics from H&M in modern cuts such as tees and light shirts, and order the longer, looser pieces from LC Waikiki that suit modest dress and family clothing. Start from what you will actually wear in your country, since each Gulf state has a different climate and different occasions, which each section below sets out.

Read the full guide: H&M or LC Waikiki for a Gulf Wardrobe: Layers & Modest

Colin’s or DeFacto for Gulf Jeans: Cut and Weight

The jeans decision starts with cut and fabric weight, not the store name. On each item page at Colin’s and DeFacto compare slim or loose, light or heavy fabric, and elastane percentage. Then read what applies to your country, because jeans in a Gulf summer are not jeans in mountain winter.

Penti or KOM for Gulf Homes: Sleepwear and Gifts

Penti suits socks, underwear and varied pajamas with ready gift sets, and KOM suits looser homewear and lounge sets. Do not choose by name, choose by use: summer sleep, house guests or a gift. Each country below carries a point of its own.

Karaca or Jumbo for a Gulf Kitchen: Cooking or Storage

Read the full guide: FLO or Hotic for Gulf Shoes: Sandal or Leather

ebebek or LC Waikiki Baby Clothes for the Gulf

ebebek is a children-only store with birth sets, blankets and accessories, and LC Waikiki suits everyday baby clothes at a practical price. Boyner or Ozdilek Family Shopping for the Gulf

Boyner and Ozdilek are large stores carrying many brands in one place, so they suit someone who wants one basket for several family members instead of ten small orders. Split the list across family members and order the essentials first. What helps in each country follows.

English Home or Madame Coco for Gulf Homes

English Home leans to linens, curtains and bed sets in a modern style, and Madame Coco leans to decor, tableware and accessories. Your decision starts from the room: a majlis that receives guests, an iftar table or a bedroom. Each Gulf country sets up its home differently, as shown below.
